Prayer is important in the life of our church
The psalmist tells us that unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain (Psalm 127). It is a reminder that we cannot achieve anything in our own strength but that the Lord can perform great things through us in our weakness - we need to be people of prayer!
The church Prayer meeting is on the first Monday of each month. We gather together in St Mary's Church Building to pray for the church, our village, each other and the world – as we commit to God our hopes, dreams, wants and needs. We start at 7.45pm with tea and coffee and a short word from the Bible. We then pray for everything from world issues and the persecuted church to matters closer to home. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a seasoned prayer warrior or have never prayed out loud before. We finish at 9.00pm.
